PERIODIC VERIFICATION OF DIAGNOSTIC ROOMS

The ventilation system in the diagnostic rooms where superconducting magnetic resonance equipment is, represents, in addition to a ventilation and air conditioning system, a real “safety device” in case, of emergency due to the release of cryogenic gas from the magnet itself.

Appropriate air conditioning systems shall be installed in normal operation to facilitate an adequate thermoregulation of the patient in relation to the SAR limits provided by current legislation and at the same time a proper functioning of the RM EQUIPMENT.

Ventilation systems shall be checked at least every six months to ensure that they function properly and that the number of hourly air-exchanges of the project is maintained.
