FIRE LANCE TESTING

Thanks to the use of a Pitot tube certified by the Giordano Institute, our company offers a qualified service of measuring the flow of a spout with a, known diameter, of any hydraulic system and specifically of a water supply lance connected to fire hydraulics.

Our testing procedures for fire hoses and the verification of hydrant flow measurements are carried out using certified equipment.

Based on the results obtained from the measurement, it can be verified that the hydraulic system
and lance are suitable for their intended purposes.

According to UNI 10779: “Hydrant systems – Installation and Operation Design”, the fire water system for areas of normal risk, must be able to guarantee a flow rate for each wall hydrant DN 45, no less than 120 l/min, and DN 70 no less than 300 l/min at a residual pressure of no less than 2 bar, when simultaneously operating no less than three hydrants in the most hydraulically disadvantaged position.

For each wall hydrant DN 25 – fire safety laws – the system must be able to ensure a flow rate of no less than 35 l/min at a residual pressure of no less than 2 bar, when simultaneously operating no less than 4 noses in the most hydraulically disadvantaged position.

For each hydrant DN 70, the system must be able to guarantee a flow rate of no less than 300 l/min at a residual pressure of no less than 4 bar considering simultaneously operating no less than
4 connections in the most disadvantaged hydraulic position (see Standard UNI 10779).
